My Quiet Way of Using Social Media

By

How do you use social media?

So the question for today’s daily prompt is: How do you use social media?

I actually missed answering it earlier because I was busy with a few things.

So, I use social media… a lot. I know that.

After a heavy day, when I feel exhausted, I look for some kind of me time. If I don’t have the energy to read a book or even just lie down quietly, I somehow manage to relax by scrolling through social media.

Mostly, I watch random reels—BTS reels, mommy reels, mom-daughter reels… a lot of them. Even watching Friends reels feels like a small motivational break sometimes.

I know it’s random binge watching.
But for me, it works like a pause after a tiring day.

I don’t post much—photos or videos—not very actively. I do have a decent number of followers, but I also know people don’t always like, comment, or engage much.

And honestly… I’m okay with that.

Because for me, social media is not about validation.
It’s more like documenting my memories, my moments, my life.

I don’t go searching for people or constantly checking others’ profiles.
It’s just simple, random watching.

A small escape.
From a heavy, exhausting day.

That’s all.
