What tattoo do you want and where would you put it?
🌿 The Tattoo I Would Choose… But Never Get
If I ever had to choose a tattoo…
It would be simple.
👉 “Remember who you are.”
And I know exactly where I would place it.
On my scapular region—the back of my shoulder.
But not just that.
It would be in mirror image.
And in a very specific style—
👉 Garamond Bold font.
So that when I stand in front of a mirror…
and look through another mirror behind me…
I can read it.
Because for me, this is not just a tattoo.
It is a reminder.
There are moments in life…
when we feel lost.
when we feel stuck.
when we forget ourselves.
In those moments…
we often wish—
someone would come,
place a hand on our shoulder,
and gently say—
👉 “Remember who you are.”
But I never really had that someone.
For me…
it was always the universe.
Somehow, in my lowest moments…
through situations, through signs, through feelings…
it reminded me.
And that’s why this line stays with me.
💛 A Tattoo I Won’t Get
But here’s the truth.
I won’t get this tattoo.
Not because I don’t believe in it.
Not because I’m against tattoos.
But because…
I don’t want to put my body through that pain.
I love myself enough to say—
👉 I don’t need to go through pain for this.
And that doesn’t mean I judge anyone who does.
I respect people who choose tattoos.
They have their reasons.
Their meanings.
But for me…
this is enough.
🌱 It Still Exists… Within Me
Even without the tattoo—
that reminder exists in me.
And if I ever feel lost…
I can still do something similar.
Stand in front of the mirror.
Pause.
Look at myself.
And silently say—
👉 “Remember who you are.”
And maybe…
feel like someone is gently
patting my shoulder.
And honestly?
That is enough. 💛
