Life: My Most Honest Teacher

By

Who was your most influential teacher? Why?

My Most Influential Teacher… Life

When this question came up—

Who was your most influential teacher, and why?

A lot of faces came into my mind.

Teachers from school…

college…

tuition…

So many names.

But somehow, I wasn’t able to feel completely genuine with any one answer.

And then…

One word came into my mind.

Life.

Life has been the most influential teacher in my life.

And I’m not saying this philosophically.

I mean it.

I have learned a lot of things not from people…

but from life itself.

From time.

From situations.

From my own mistakes.

From my regrets.

From my guilt.

From my emotions.

Life unfolded things for me in ways I never expected.

Things I didn’t know…

things no one explicitly taught me…

But somehow, I learned.

Of course, I had favorite teachers.

Teachers who guided me, supported me, inspired me.

But the most influence?

That came from life itself.

There was a time I thought life was only tough.

But somewhere along the way…

I realised—

Life can be easy too.

You just have to see it differently.

And through all these years, life has taught me so many things.

Some lessons I carry very deeply within me.

What Life Taught Me

1. Nothing goes exactly as planned… and that’s okay.

Plans can fall apart.

Things can change.

But still… life goes on.

And it will be okay.

2. You have to be in the driver’s seat of your own life.

It is your journey.

Your direction.

Your responsibility.

3. People don’t always change… energy does.

We often say, “This person has changed.”

But maybe…

It is not the person.

It is the energy between two people that changes.

Situations change.

Environments change.

Connections shift.

And that changes how we experience each other.

4. You always have a choice.

Even when it feels like you don’t.

That feeling of “I have no option”…

It comes because, somewhere inside,

you have already chosen.

Subconsciously.

But choices are always there.

5. At the end of everything… you have yourself.

No matter what changes.

No matter who comes or goes.

You will always be there for you.

Some things in life…

No one can teach you.

No book.

No person.

Only time.

Only experience.

Only life.

And I think…

I am still a student.

Still learning.

Still processing.

Still understanding.

Still waiting to see what life unfolds next.

Even after everything…

Even after the hard phases…

I still believe—

Life can be easy.

And for that…

I am grateful.
