What’s a conspiracy theory you actually find believable?
The conspiracy theory I actually find believable?
Probably the existence of extraterrestrial life.
I don’t necessarily believe in all those stories about aliens secretly controlling governments, manipulating humanity, or hiding somewhere on Earth. I don’t know enough to believe any of that.
But the idea that we are completely alone in this enormous universe?
I find that much harder to believe.
We are living on one tiny planet, around one star, in one small corner of an unimaginably vast universe. There are billions of stars, countless planets, and possibilities that we probably haven’t even begun to understand.
So I genuinely believe that there could be life somewhere out there.
And perhaps they are far more advanced than we are. Maybe they have technologies that we cannot even imagine. Maybe they have civilizations that developed millions of years before ours.
Sometimes I even like the thought that perhaps we are being watched—not necessarily manipulated, not necessarily controlled, but simply observed.
The way we observe other forms of life, perhaps somewhere out there, something is observing us too.
I don’t know if that’s true.
And that’s precisely what makes it fascinating.
I don’t need to believe every alien conspiracy theory to believe that the universe may hold something beyond what we know.
Perhaps the real conspiracy is simply this:
We may not be as alone as we think we are.
